Aviation Institute of Maintenance

Thank You for Your Service!

Aircraft Dispatcher Program
Now available at our Northern Virginia Campus

Getting out of the service can be daunting. Newly-found autonomy can leave a lot of service members bewildered and a little uneasy about their future career options.  The Aviation Institute of Maintenance (AIM) believes it's never too early to start thinking about your transition plan, regardless of your rank or years of service. Early transition career planning is critical to ensuring a smooth transition from service member to civilian.

The Aircraft Dispatcher Program is a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) approved training that incorporates classroom and lab instruction preparing Aircraft Dispatcher students to pass the FAA Aircraft Dispatcher Written, Oral and Practical Certification Exams which are administered by FAA Designated Aircraft Dispatcher Examiners upon graduation.

This certification opens doors for the opportunity to apply for the following positions:

  • Flight Dispatchers
  • Crew Schedulers
  • Crew Planners
  • Navigation Data-base Specialists
  • Meteorology Assistants
  • Airport Flight Operations Agent
  • Ramp Control Tower Agents
  • and many other flight operations positions

Veteran Services

AIM is proud of our nation’s active duty personnel, reservists and veterans, and we understand the sacrifices you have made for our country. In fact, you will find veterans everywhere at AIM: Instructors, Program Coordinators, Admissions, Student Services, and Administration. It's because of this first-hand knowledge that we go the extra mile to make you feel at home and provide you with the services and support you may need to be a successful student and graduate.

Campus Veteran Representative

Each of AIM's campuses has a special Veteran Representative on staff to connect you with admissions, and all other departments. Your Veteran Representative will also help you connect with other veteran students on campus. This is your go-to person for all military and veteran specific support services.

This program is offered at our Aviation Institute of Maintenance - Northern Virginia campus.
